Fake Currency of 55 Lakhs Seized, 6 People Arrested
Telangana Police arrest 6 people in fake currency case. Close to 55 lakhs have been seized which was meant to destabilize the economy
Telangana police arrested three men who were suspected to have fake currency of close to 30 lakhs. The information was passed as a tip in the Kamareddy district. Banswada police station suspected a vehicle near the checkpoint. The car was stopped and upon initial investigation around 30 lakhs worth of fake currency was found—three people namely Kadapathri Rajagopal, Kolavar Kiran Kumar, and Ramesh Goud.
Interrogation from the people revealed that the eight-member operation was spread across India which included states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, and Telangana. Hussain Rajagopal hail from Karnataka was the financer of the operation while the printing operation was managed in Rajasthan by Bhardwaj and Radhakrishna.
The center of operation was in Hyderabad where the machines and equipment were operated. They had a rented penthouse Where they had listed the production facility. Police also raided the house and recovered close to 26 lakh rupees.
Hussain, Bhardwaj, and Ajay were found in the location who were the prime suspects in the case. The alliance had already spread around 3 lakhs in a village. The reason behind their fake money distribution is believed to destabilise the economy.
