British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran has taken to his Insta account to inform his fans that he has been tested positive for Covid -19.

“Hey guys. Quick note to tell you that I’ve sadly tested positive for Covid, so I’m now self isolating and following government guidelines”, he wrote.
“It means that I'm now unable to plough ahead with any in-person commitments for, so I'll be doing as many of my planned interviews/performances I can from my house”, he wrote further.
He promised his fans that he would give planned interviews and performances from home.
After learning about his Covid-19 diagnosis, fans wished him a speedy recovery.
“I'm sorry to hear that! Get better soon,” an Instagram user wrote.
Take rest. You will be better super soon,” another one wrote .
Last week he performed in London as part of the inaugural Earthshot Prize awards, hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The covid news comes days prior to the singer’s fourth studio album that would be releasing on October 29.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Ed was to appear on ‘Saturday Night Live’ as a guest on November 6.
