Doug Emhoff is Garnering a Reputation of Breaking Common Male Stereotypes

Kamala Harris’s husband Doug Emhoff has quit his law firm job in DLA Piper to take up his new role in the White House in the days to follow.

He will leave DLA Piper by inauguration day which is on 20 January.  He worked in this organization since 2017 with media, sports and entertainment clients.

Doug is reportedly working with Joe Biden’s transition team to prepare for his new position in the administration.

By leaving his position of power to support his wife in the White House, Doug Emhoff has set new standards and garnered a reputation of being an ardent supporter of his wife thus breaking numerous male stereotypes.

Speaking of his wife he had earlier stated, “She's got plenty of great people giving her political advice. I'm her partner, I'm her best friend and I'm her husband. And that's what I'm here for. I'm here to have her back.”

He’s also seen making all the right moves by befriending other political spouses just like him in the Democratic Party. His unconditional support for women can be ascertained when he told NowThis News, “I want more women in office, and I want more partners, whoever their partner is, to support them and to provide an opportunity and an environment for success.”

He shared a beautiful picture of himself with his wife Kamala after the election results were declared. In the snapshot he could be seen lovingly hugging his wife. He captioned the image with the words: “So proud of you.”

Kamala and Doug met on a blind date in 2013 and got married in a quiet ceremony a year later.
