Donald Trump Tests Negative for Coronavirus Infection, Queen Elizabeth Moves Out of Buckingham Palace

Following concern over his exposure to the growing Coronavirus infection, a test on US President Donald Trump was conducted recently and he has tested negative for the novel coronavirus, a disease that has paralyzed the globe.

President Donald Trump agreed to the test after he comes into contact with several members of a Brazilian Presidential delegation that visited his Florida resort recently and who have since tested positive for the virus.

In a statement, President Trump’s physician Sean Conley said, “This evening I received confirmation that the test is negative. One week after having dinner with the Brazilian delegation at Mar-a-Lago, the President remains symptom-free.”

73-year-old Donald Trump has dismissed concerns over his exposure to the disease, which has so far killed 51 US citizens and disturbed the rhythm of daily life across the country, with millions of people working from home and all schools and educational institutions shut.

The most populous US city, New York, has recorded its first coronavirus death on Saturday.

Vice President Mike Pence meanwhile has announced travel restriction to the United States, saying the travel ban on Europe has been extended to the United Kingdom and Ireland too.

President Trump has advised the people of America against unnecessary travels, as he said at a Press Conference, “If you don’t have to travel, I wouldn’t do it. We want this thing to end. We don’t want a lot of people getting infected.”

Last week President Donald Trump has declared a national emergency in what critics say was a long-delayed admission of the gravity of the crisis.

On the other hand in England, Queen Elizabeth has been shifted from the Buckingham Palace in London to the Windsor Castle, as the country is preparing itself to adopt isolation measures for its people, as the country has recorded more than 21 deaths in just 11 days.

The 93-year-old Queen and her 98-year-old husband, Prince Philip are likely to be placed under quarantine at the royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, as the country plans to adopt the tougher measures in the coming weeks.

Some reports indicate the move to shift her, a week ahead of her 94th birthday from the Buckingham palace was a regular weekend practice but some reports say it otherwise. But, The Sun has published a report quoting a royal source, which says, “She is in good health but it was thought best to move her, as the Palace hosts a constant stream of visitors, including politicians and dignitaries from around the world”.

The coronavirus pandemic has so far claimed more than 6000 lives in 137 countries across the world.
