Doctor Shot Dead Inside Delhi Hospital, Accused Posed as Patients
A doctor was shot dead in Delhi Hospital after teens came to change the dressing of the injured toe. Targeted killing is suspected. AAP accuses safety and law from the centre.
A doctor, 55, was shot dead in Jaitpura of Delhi after patients had come for a dressing of their injury. The incident is reported nearly after two months of the murder of the Kolkata-based doctor. As per the hospital staff, two teenagers came to Nima Hospital in Jaitpura, Delhi. One of the teens asked for a change in the dressing of the injured toe
After completing the dressing, the teens asked for a prescription for which they headed to Dr. Javed Akhter’s cabin who works in Unani Medicines. Moments after the teenagers got inside the cabin, floor assistants, Gajala Parveen and Md Kamil heard a gunshot. Upon rushing to the room, they found the doctor lying in a pool of blood.
The hospital staff also informed that the accused were not more than 17 years old. Police are also checking for the CCTV footage of the hospital to identify the two accused. The two accused had come to the hospital the day before the murder. Moreover, it is also suspected that they had performed a recce to assess the situation within the hospital premises.
With the entire situation, the police are assuming this to be a targeted killing where someone has paid to kill the Doctor. This is the second incident that comes afloat after the death of a Kolkata-based doctor who was killed during her night shift.
