Delhi Man Kills Live-In-Partner, Dumps Body in Fridge and Marries Another Woman
Sahil Gehlot, 24, allegedly killed his live-in-partner 22 year old Nikki Yadav and stuffed her body in the fridge at his Dhaba.
Months after the shocking Aaftab and Shraddha murder case sent shockwaves across the nation, a similar gruesome case has emerged from the city of Delhi.
Sahil Gehlot, 24, allegedly killed his live-in-partner 22 year old Nikki Yadav and stuffed her body in the fridge at his Dhaba.
Ironically he went ahead and married another woman the same day. Police sources say that his body language was normal on the day of his wedding and there were no signs that he killed someone just hours before.
On the night of February 9 Sahil went to meet Nikki in his Uttam Nagar residence where he lived with her. The couple had planned a trip to Goa however Sahil didn’t have the ticket.
The couple then went to Nizzamuddin Railway Station to arrange for the ticket however they couldn’t get one. They changed plans and decided to head to Himachal by bus.
In the midst of arranging bus tickets Sahil received a call from his parents. Nikki came to know about the wedding which was going to take place on February 10.
An argument broke out between the two. Sahil told investigators that he strangled her using a data cable which was kept in his car. He later stuffed her body in the fridge at his Dhaba.
Eight to ten hours after killing his live-in-partner he went ahead and married another woman.
Police sources have said that Sahil deleted data from her phone as well as his phone after killing her. He kept her phone hidden for days before finally getting caught.
The victim’s body was discovered on Valentine’s day in the refrigerator after the police were informed by a secret informer. The murder took place on the intervening night of Feb 9 ~ Feb 10. The accused has been sent to five day police custody for further interrogation.
Nikki's father demanded that Gehlot be hanged to death for this gruesome act.
"All we want now is justice and the culprit should be hanged to death," Sunil Yadav, who runs a motor repair business in Gurugram told the media.
"Our daughter is gone. She is no more. All we want now is justice. The culprit should be awarded the strictest punishment and should be hanged to death for his brutal crime," he said.
Investigations on this case are underway.
