Daniel Craig Bestowed with Royal Honour Same as His 007 Bond Character

English actor Daniel Craig was bestowed a CMG honour at the Royal Windsor Castle for his outstanding contribution to theatre and films.
Daniel was made a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George; a British Order of chivalry founded in 1818.
The Bond actor received the honour from the Queen’s daughter Princess Anne at an investiture ceremony in Windsor Castle.
The same honour was received by the actor’s fictional character 007.
The royal family captured the moment in its official Twitter account and captioned the picture “We've been expecting you.”
“The Princess Royal presents Daniel Craig with The Order of St Michael and St George — the same honor held by his character James Bond — in recognition of his outstanding contribution to film and theater”, read the caption.
The actor has appeared in five James Bond movies; first one being Casino Royal in 2006 and the last one being No Time To Die in 2021.
When approached by producers to play James Bond, the actor was initially hesitant and resisted the opportunity. He first consulted his friends and colleagues who told him that “there is life after Bond.”
His casting of Bond was controversial as many observers didn’t think he suited the image of Bond due to his blonde hair and blue eyes, however many actors supported him including the famous Sean Connery describing him in 2008 as “fantastic, marvellous in the part".
The actor proved critics wrong with the emergence of every Bond movie. The Skyfall actor also became famous for bringing “emotional depth” and “vulnerability” to his characters unlike previous Bond films.
