Football star Cristiano Ronaldo and his wife Georgina Rodriguez announced on Monday that one of their baby twins has passed away.

The couple lost a baby boy however the birth of the baby girl is confirmed.
The Manchester United star took to social media and announced: “It is with our deepest sadness that we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parent can feel.”
“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support”, the statement further read.
“We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.”
“Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you”, they wrote in a jointly signed statement.
The couple revealed last year in October that they are expecting twins.
Manchester United supported Cristiano Ronaldo during this difficult time, “Your pain is our pain, @Cristiano Sending love and strength to you and the family at this time.”
Another tweet from the English Premier League read, “The thoughts and condolences of everyone at the Premier League are with you and your family, Cristiano.”
Ronaldo has a girl Alana Martinez with Georgina who was born in November 2017. Ronaldo is the father to twins Eva and Mateo whom he welcomed in June 2017 through surrogacy. He’s also the father of 11-year-old Cristiano Jr with a former partner.
Cristiano first met Georgina at a Gucci store in Madrid where she was working.
