California-Based InterraIT to Develop Mobile App to Battle Sexual Harassment for Noida District Administration

Gautam Buddha Nagar District authorities signed an MOU at Noida on 1 June to collaborate across the district on fighting sexual harassment and women abuse with a reputed global software consulting company Interra Information Technologies (InterraIT). With its headquarters in California, the US, InterraIT’s operations are currently spread across 5 countries, with a sales network spanning the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, India and Japan. The company has two state of the art development centers in India, which are the focal point in servicing its esteemed customer base across the globe.

The company has development centers in Noida apart from Kolkata and clients across the globe. InterraIT will develop software and app and provide training to fight and redress sexual harassment and gender abuse issues.

InterraIT has an existing cell of anti-sexual abuse and harassment already.

The district authority wants the software, mobile app and trainings to forge into a complete package to fight and redress these issues across the district and in all verticals –public and private sector organisations, academic institutes, all other workplaces.

Mr Asoke Laha, CEO of InterraIT said that they are thankful to District Authorities in Noida to let them join in a fight against sexual harassment. This matter has been a major concern to all for some time. Their experienced team will develop the app and conduct training across the district from village level to upward.
