‘Desperado’ actor Antonia Banderas has declared that he’s been tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday which happened to be his 60th birthday. 

“I want to make it public that today, Aug 10, I am forced to celebrate my 60th birthday in quarantine, having tested positive for the COVID-19 disease, caused by the coronavirus”, he wrote in Spanish on Instagram. 

“I would like to add that I feel relatively good, just a little more tired than usual, and am confident that I will recover as soon as possible following medical instructions that I hope will allow me to overcome the infectious period that I am suffering, and that is affecting so many people around the planet”, he added.

He elaborated that he will use this time to “read, write, rest and continue making plans to begin to give meaning to my 60 years, to which I arrive full of enthusiasm.”

‘The Mask of Zorro’ actor made the above statement alongside a cute black and white snapshot of himself as a baby. 

The actor seems very positive about his current health situation and he’s already figured out how he would celebrate the “sixty years” of his life.

The talented actor received his first Academy Award nomination in the lead actor category for the film ‘Pain and Glory.’ Antonio plays the role of Salvador Mallo who is a director on a decline. The film also stars the beautiful Penelope Cruz.
