Amy Jackson Shares a Throwback Pic of Aishwarya Rai, Captions It “Favourite Forever”

British actress Amy Jackson recently took to Instagram and shared a rare photograph of Aishwarya Rai after she won the Miss World title way back in 1994. 

In the throwback photo Aishwarya can be seen having a sumptuous meal in the typical desi style, seated on a low stool on the floor whilst eating with her hand. 

She’s seen adorning a pink silk saree matched with a golden elbow-length blouse. Golden bangles and earrings added to her simple yet graceful look and the crown neatly placed on her head cannot be missed. Her mother wearing a grey salwar can be seen seated next to her. 

This refreshing snapshot takes us back to Aishwarya’s iconic ‘Miss World days and the impressive manner she represented India in the International pageant in Sun City, Africa. 

In one of her interviews during the Miss World pageant,  Aishwarya said that India is a cosmopolitan place. It is an amalgamation of various races and religions and yet people learned to live together. 

The photograph also speaks volumes about Aishwarya’s grace, humility, her family oriented persona and her strong Indian roots. 

Through this pic, Amy Jackson revealed that Aishwarya is her “forever favourite” queen. She captioned the pic, “Forever Favourite” coupled with a heart emoticon. 

There are a few things common between both the artists.  While Aishwarya was paired opposite Rajnikanth in 2010's Enthiran, Amy was cast for the sequel Robot 2’ in 2018. 

Amy won Miss Teen World in 2019 in America.  She went on to participate in the Miss England title and was crowned the runner-up. 

In contrast, Aishwarya Rai was a runner-up in the Miss India pageant in 1994. She was crowned Miss World in 1994 while Sushmita Sen bagged the Miss Universe title. 

Both Amy and Aishwarya have been models and ironically began their journey in the film industry through Tamil films.
