Amul Pays Tribute to Rishi and Irrfan through These Cool Topicals

Indian dairy firm Amul has decided to pay a beautiful tribute to superstar Rishi Kapoor by highlighting his work in its new delightful topical.

The refreshing topical takes you back to the superstar’s iconic movies of yesteryears through various caricatures based on the actor’s characters in varied films.

Actress Alia Bhatt who was extremely upset at his sad demise took a liking to the topical and she went ahead and shared it on her Instagram story. She placed a heart on it. Many Twitter users also found the topical captivating and they’ve shared it numerous times.

The catchy tag line that reads on the topical is: “Aap Kisise Kum Naheen” which has been taken from his popular film “Hum Kisise Kum Naheen.”

The caricatures represent Rishi from movies such as ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, ‘Sargam’, ‘Mera Naam Joker’ and ‘Bobby.’ Rishi Kapoor made his debut through Raj Kapoor’s film ‘Mera Naam Joker’ for which he bagged the National Film Award for Best Child Artist.

As time passed, he created a niche for himself in romantic flicks and light-hearted comedies that began with the film ‘Bobby.’ He was paired opposite Dimple Kapadia which was her first film in the movie that turned out to be a mega-hit with its melodious tracks and coming of age teenage love story. The movie was a trendsetter of sorts.

Earlier Amul shared another topical paying tribute to ‘The Namesake’ actor Irrfan Khan. The tagline on this topical read, “Tumko yaad rakhenge guru hum.” The caricatures are references from films like ‘Angrezi Medium’, ‘Pan Singh Tomar’ and ‘Lunchbox.’

Hollywood actors like Natalie Portman and Angelia Jolie with whom Irrfan worked have also expressed their grief and passed on their condolences to his loved ones.

The Indian Film Industry was left bewildered after these two iconic stars; passed away in quick succession all of a sudden after battling cancer.
