Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Yet Again Slays the Red Carpet at Cannes 2018
India’s poster girl for Cannes looked ravishing in her butterfly peacock gown.
Aishwarya Rai won the hearts of fans when she walked the red carpet at Cannes for the 17th time. The gorgeous actress adorned a shimmery strapless gown with an embroidered train by Rami Kadi Couture for her second appearance at the Cannes Film Festival. Her hair was neatly styled to an avant-garde hairdo. Aishwarya’s make-up appeared natural and simple and she kept accessories to a minimal. Her first appearance, however, was what drew more attention.
For her first red carpet appearance, Aishwarya opted to wear Dubai based designer- Michael Cinco’s butterfly gown.
Aishwarya captivated the masses by wearing this peacock and butterfly piece that had red, violet and blue threadworks embellished in Swarovski crystals and French Pailettes. Aishwarya left her hair straight and simple with a middle parting and she matched her dress with a pair of beautiful hanging earrings.
The exquisite gown took 3,000 man hours to be intricately hand-crafted, read a post on Michael Cinco's official Instagram page.
In one of the interviews, Cinco said, "The gown was created to reflect the impalpable dream of a butterfly metamorphosis."
Aishwarya’s daughter Aaradhya accompanied her gorgeous mother till the red carpet donning a red ruffled frock. This is not the first time Aishwarya was seen adorning designer Michael Cohen’s creations. The talented designer made her look like a real Cinderella when she wore the ‘Cinderella gown’ in Cannes last year. Her BTS appearances for media interaction as L'Oreal ambassador were also much talked about. She looked powerful in the Giorgio Armani suit.
