Actor Rishi Kapoor Gets a Surprise Visit While in New York

Actor Rishi Kapoor who is currently in New York receiving medical treatment, got a surprise visitor from India. It was none other than the ‘Padmaavat’ actress- Deepika Padukone! Deepika Padukone is currently in New York as she had come to the city to be a part of MetGala where she grabbed everyone’s attention in a metallic pink gown dressed up as ‘Barbie’. The actress displayed the warmer side of her dynamic personality when she made special time from her New York schedule to meet senior actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. Rishi Kapoor has been in New York since September 2018 to receive medical treatment.

Rishi’s family had been silent about his health conditions however film-maker Rahul Rawail recently confirmed that Rishi Kapoor is Cancer free however he’ll remain in America for another three months before he heads back to Mumbai.

In the recent picture, both Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor appear extremely pleased with Deepika around them. Deepika looked cute flashing her familiar smile while Rishi Kapoor appears contented posing in-between two charming ladies.

Below is the heart-warming click of the three of them that was shared by Neetu Singh on her Instagram account. She wrote, “Such a fun evening with adorable Deepika Padukone .. gave a lot of love n warmth.”

Deepika acknowledged Neetu Singh’s post saying, “Thank You both for such a fun, memorable evening! To good health, happiness, peace of mind and many many more laughs.” Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Riddhima Kapoor was one of the first one to post a heart in the comments section.

Deepika dated Neetu and Rishi Kapoor’s son Ranbir Kapoor back in 2008 when they met on the sets of ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno.’ Their relationship which received huge media attention came to an end apparently as Ranbir cheated on Deepika. Now, it looks like the pair have put the past behind and continue to remain good friends. They’ve appeared together in movies like ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Tamasha.’ They even appeared recently in an Asian Paints advert. Deepika is happily married to Ranveer Singh while Ranbir Kapoor is currently dating Alia Bhatt.

While in New York, the actress nailed it with the pink multilayered metallic princess gown by Zac Posen which was covered in 3D embellishments. It took 160 hours to create sea urchins on her long exquisite gown. According to Padukone, the outfit was one of the most “adventurous” numbers, she has adorned till date. The ‘Tamasha’ actress styled her hair in a bouffant and teamed it with a metallic hairband. She looked like the perfect ‘Barbie Doll’ gracing the red carpet at the event. Later she changed into a yellow mermaid gown with a black and white overcoat. Padukone was seen hanging with Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas who also walked the red carpet at the MetGala during the after-party.

At present, Deepika is busy shooting for her upcoming movie ‘Chhapaak’ in which she plays acid attack survivor- Laxmi Agarwal.’
