Actor Miles Teller Says Michael Jackson’s Upcoming Biopic Is Going to Blow People away
At Sunday's Vanity Fair Oscars soirée, actor Miles Teller discussed one of the most highly anticipated endeavors: the forthcoming biopic on Michael Jackson.
During Sunday’s Vanity Fair Oscars party, Top Gun actor Miles Teller spoke about one of the most eagerly awaited projects- Michael Jackson’s upcoming biopic.
Miles said that he is very excited about ‘Michael.’
You only get so many opportunities in this business to make films,” said the actor.
“I'm really excited to be a part of it. I think it's going to blow people away,” he added.
Miles Teller will portray Michael’s former manager, lawyer John Branca. Branca is also co-executor of Michael Jackson’s property.
Speaking about how he’s preparing for the role, he said, “I think you just try to inundate yourself with as much information as you can.”
“Regardless of what you know or what your opinion may be, Michael is one of the greatest to ever do it, if not the greatest,” said the actor. “He deserves a movie, and I'm excited to be a part of it.”
Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson will play the king of pop while nine year old Juliano Krue Valdi will play the young Michael. There are ten actors who will portray MJ’s brothers, the Jackson 5, both the older and younger versions.
Jamal R. Henderson plays Jermaine Jackson while Jayden Harville plays the younger version. Tre Horton and Jaylen Lyndon Hunter play the older and younger version of Marlon Jackson respectively. Rhyan Hill and Judah Edwards are Tito while Joseph David-Jones and Nathaniel Logan McIntyre play the elder and younger versions of Jackie Jackson.
The film is produced by Graham King and the co-executors of Michael Jackson’s estate Branca and John McClain. The biopic is directed by Antoine Fuqua.
Michael Jackson has been one of the most prominent cultural, enigmatic and controversial figures of the twentieth century. He defied gravity by his iconic ‘Moonwalk’ which is famous to this day.
For certain, millions of MJ fans will be waiting in anticipation to watch the biopic of one of the best selling music artists of all time. The pop star’s music videos such as Beat It, Billie Jean and Thriller from his 1982 music album Thriller broke racial taboos! Besides, the ultimate pop star is one of the greatest dancers ever to go down in history! How can one forget his stage presence in front of millions of people with many fainting and being carried off by security.
Only time will tell how well the biopic performs.
