15 Evacuated from A 6-Storey Building in Indore after It Caught Fire
Fire breaks out in a commercial building in Indore’s Vijaynagar. 15 evacuated and sent to hospital. The district collector and police authorities reach for the rescue operation.
A fire broke out in a six-story commercial building in Indore’s Vijaynagar area, and close to 15 people were evacuated. According to the evidence, the fire started on Tuesday. The situation took a chaotic turn, and people were aware of the fire. However, timely action and swift response of the firefighters helped stop the fire on time.
Indore District Collector Ashish Singh and police authorities reached the location and helped in the evacuation process. "The fire probably broke out on the second floor due to a short circuit. Smoke also reached the upper floors, and at least 15 people got trapped. We have safely evacuated these people," said Singh.
The rescued people were sent to the nearest hospitals. Some people suffered because of smoke but there were no such injuries reported and the condition of the patients is said to be fine. The officials further claimed that the building was equipped with fire-resistant systems but they could not use it because of the confusion caused by chaos.
The primary reason behind the fire is believed to be a short circuit caused because of faulty electric wires. The fire initially broke out on the 2nd floor of the building but later the smoke reached the upper floor leading to suffocation among the people.
