A student from Madhya Pradesh committed suicide as school authorities asked him not to take selfies on the school grounds. The deceased is identified as Raj Osari, a 12-year-old student from a government hostel in Mandaleshwar. The student jumped from the Jam gate even after the relatives tried to stop him.
While trying to jump, his relatives and the security guard at the site asked him not to do so, but he did not listen to them and took the extreme step,” claimed SP Dharamraj Meena. Osari was then taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Earlier, complaints were made against Osari for using his mobile phone too much. Moreover, the school and hostel also told his uncle about the issue. According to reports, every time the principal and the hostel warden warned Osari about taking selfies, he responded with a death threat or ran away.
His guardians and relatives were called to school however, he ran away before they would come to the school and get back at night. Likewise, his guardians were called on Thursday but he did not appear. He went missing from the hostel but eventually returned on Thursday night. He ran away on Friday morning again leading to chaos at the hostel and search operations.
Osari’s phone was found at the site using which the police is investigating the matter. Police are also assuming familial repercussions behind the suicide of the 12-year-old. Police is trying to check all the possible angles so that a better result can be found.
